VE DAY 2020
Players in the brass band world were asked to commemorate VE Day by playing the last post and reveille at 2.55 pm before Sir Winston Churchill’s speech announcing the end of WW2, which was broadcast across the UK at 3 pm.
Nicole Weatherstone who is the bands principal cornet played the last post on Henry Street and she was joined by the bands flugelhorn player Christine Calvert from her garden.
